| Chest Guard - Women's Maxi | | Posted Friday, September 08, 2006 10:31:43 PM by BlogJeeves Team | | REDUCE RISKS IN YOUR CHOSEN SPORT Breast's, rib's, sternum are all covered with the very flexible, yet very strong (virtually unbreakable) polyethylene guard. Held firmly in place with especially designed cover with two front panels made of Hi Tech, two way stretch *Tactel ®. This fabric allows movement of moisture, to speed evaporation, which is the body's natural cooling method. (If a bra is worn under the Maxi Guard, we recommend it be of a synthetic fabric type for the same reason.) *A licensed DU PONT ® product. 86% Tactel®, 4% Nylon and 10 % Lycra® IMPORTANT The Maxi Guard cover has plenty of stretch so the cover is fitted first, then the guard is inserted between the front layers of fabric, and removed after competition or training, to further aid cooling. To select correct guard size measure chest size under bust. Cup size should be the same as your standard bra. If in doubt try one cup size down. Select the correct cover from the chart. We strongly recommend that if a bra is worn under the cover then it be only of the thin synthetic textile type so that it does not absorb moisture, but allows the moisture to move and evaporate. Spare covers are available (covers also available in black) If you wear a heavy padded bra under the Maxi Guard cover you may need the next larger cup size. The instruction book included with all Maxi Guards has details for final shaping of the guard if needed. Finally--Beware of copies of Maxi Guard. Are they safe ? Are they CE certified ? Are they made from suitable plastic? Is the cover made from inferior fabric such as cotton ? Maxi Guard---made with pride in New Zealand Patent no. 189273.... | |

The sword was made primarily as a thrusting weapon and therefore not effective on a battle field. The Rapier began its development during the 16th century in both Spain and Germany. In Spain the single handed sword was known as the "Espada Ropera" and in Germany it was the Schiavona. Although, it may seem like the Rapier was an innovation that sprang up overnight it was in fact a long process with many trials and error and as many factors leading to its creation and widespread use. This is a Reproduction of a 17th century German Swept Hilt Rapier. The sword has a perfect balance and, though not authentic, the rubber handle makes the sword very comfortable to use and gives it a better grip. The sword is perfect for collectors, enthusiasts and stage use. Attributes of the Weapon: Blade: The blade of the sword is 440 Stainless Steel in a mirror polished finish. The edge of the sword is dulled but the point is very sharp. A ridge runs down the length of the blade with a short ricasso at the base of the sword. Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is wooden with dull black finish. The drag and scabbard throat are both polished steel. Guard: The guard of the sword is intricately built in a swept hilt design with a triple bar loop guard and sqaure fore-guard. The quillons are a straight cross bar design with the knuckle bow attached just bellow it. The knuckle bow is attached with two additional guards and ends with an s-shaped tip.
